In 2010, on the anniversary of the death of actor and pilot Steve McQueen, Persol reissued 10,000 copies of his favorite frame, the "714SM" renamed "Steve Mc Queen" in his honor. Of course, this pair of sunglasses with blue lenses, foldable(!) no less, was a real success worldwide despite its price.

Persol has even published a beautiful video showcasing the manufacturing process. 2 years later, stocks are almost depleted. You will no longer find opticians able to offer it in store.
